Dear Parents                                                                            2021-01-18

I trust that you’ve all had a peaceful festive season and were able to rest after such a stressful year.

As many of you already know, the Minister of Education has called for a delay in the start of the 2021 school year to the 15th February.

As from the 25th January our office will be open in the mornings for any queries and assistance needed.

We will begin to send work packs out on the 3rd of February, details of these collections will be confirmed by the 26th of January. I am certain that your girls are eager to get started with their new year and grade and we are equally as eager to get them learning again.

We are expecting the Department of Education to adjust the school calendar for 2021 to make up for the days lost due to the delayed start but the sooner we get going the better. Once we receive the new amended calendar, we will share it with you.

We will have our orientation for the Grade 1-7 new girls on Friday the 12th February 2021. Parents will unfortunately not be allowed on campus. New hostel girls are to arrive at the hostel at 12h00. New day girls are to arrive at 13h00 and are to report at the hall foyer for screening. All our new girls will be shown their classes and will get to meet their teachers between 13h00-14h00. All new hostel girls will move into the hostel on Friday the 12 February. This gives our hostel staff a wonderful opportunity to show our new girls around, get to know them and for them to get to know each other. All other returning hostel girls are to please return to hostel on Sunday the 14th February between 13h00 and 17h00.

The first day of school will be Monday the 15th February for the green groups only. The blue group’s first day will be on Tuesday the 16 February.

We are confident that we have all measures in place and we will be ready for their return. The VP staff are committed to ensuring that your daughters receive a comprehensive and quality education regardless of the challenges we are faced with.

Yours sincerely,
Mrs Michelle Rafferty
