Happy New Year! We hope that you have enjoyed a restful holiday with your children and that your family has managed to keep safe during these trying times.
As our Pre-primary School is categorised as an Early Childhood Development Centre we are able to open our doors prior to the 15th February when the rest of the school will return to their classrooms. Therefore the School Management Team has taken the decision to open our Pre-Primary School on Thursday the 4th of February 2021.
At Victoria Primary our Pre-primary staff and classrooms are ready and we can’t wait to welcome our new and returning children back to school. As mentioned in our Orientation Pack, we will send out a video next week before we open so that you and your daughter will know what to expect on her first day.
We take the health and safety of our staff and your children very seriously. All our health protocols are in place and we will continue to observe them strictly. To ensure that we are able to put social distancing measures in place in the classrooms the children will still come to school on a rotational basis. Starting with the BLUE GROUP on Thursday, 4 February and the GREEN GROUP on Friday 5 February 2021. You will know from the Orientation Pack that you received at the end of last year whether your child is in the Blue Group or the Green Group.
In addition all children must come to school wearing a cloth mask or face covering which complies with government regulations and she should have a spare one in her school bag. She will be required to wear her face mask at all times except when eating.
We have many hand washing and/or hand sanitising opportunities during the school morning and encourage hand washing on an ongoing basis. Your daughter is welcome to bring her own hand sanitiser as well.
By observing these safety protocols we feel confident your daughter is as safe as possible at school and we can’t wait to have our Pre-primary filled with happy little girls who are playing and learning.
Should you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the school office or your daughter’s teacher.
