MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE
We have come to our second last newsletter of the year! The next newsletter will be the final newsletter that will be submitted with the reports.
At Monday’s House Assembly, we announced our Grade 7 committees for 2025. We wish them the best as they serve within them. We also thank our 2024 Grade 7 Committees for their commitment and dedication and for giving us confirmation that our new system is indeed beneficial to all our Grade 7 girls and the school at large. We look forward to working with next year’s committees.

Indlulamthi Badge
We are thrilled that so many of our girls were awarded their Indlulamthi Badges at Monday’s assembly. We are extremely proud of all of you and this is most deserving! We thank all our VP families who supported our Movie Night last Friday. What a wonderful evening it was! Thank you so much to our volunteering parents for your support too. We loved working alongside you all.
We look forward to another sold out evening tonight. Unfortunately there will be no tickets available at the door.
Please note that we had to start the movie later than expected as it was not dark enough last week, this will more than likely be the case tonight. However, arrive anytime from 17:00 and have some wonderful fun at the jumping castle and get your popcorn and snacks and secure your spot with your blankies. Parking is available behind the Provost and on Rhodes campus. You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket if you so wish. Please no alcohol. LA Café will also be open for hot drinks and food. Please DO NOT bring deck chairs as this will block the view of those who are sitting behind you. Dress warmly! Please make sure that you collect all your litter before you leave. We expect to end by 20:30.
Dolphin Shield Gala
Well done to the U13 swimmers who won the Girls Open Shield! All our swimmers did very well and we placed 2nd overall.
Please note that we will continue with swimming for the B-League gala swimmers only next week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 13:00-14:00.

Orchestra
On Thursday, 7 November our orchestra is playing at Kingswood with the KC Strings Ensemble. All the best, girls.

Music extramurals will continue during exams, from 4th to 15th November, to allow the girls enough time to prepare for their various year-end performances:
Junior Choir: Tuesday-Thursday at 07:30
Senior Choir: Tuesday-Thursday at 07:15
Chamber Choir: Monday at 07:15
Friday 13:00-14:00
Orchestra: Friday 13:00-14:00
From 18th November, additional rehearsals will be scheduled during the school day, as necessary.
Pre-Primary Sports Day Friday, 15 February
Our Grade 00 and Grade R classes will have their Sports Day on November 15th! The event will start at 09:00 and last for about an hour. Parents, please enter through the office on arrival (do not use the Huntley Street entrance). Children will remain at school after the event and will not go home with parents. We’re looking forward to a fantastic morning filled with fun, fitness and teamwork! More details to come as the date approaches.
Sports Day Fundraiser
On Friday, 15 November the VP Sports Committee for 2024 and 2025 will be holding a sport fundraiser during the school day. This event is to celebrate the end of exams for the Intersen Phase, to have a little fun together at the end of the year and to raise money to continue efforts of beautifying our school grounds.
We would like to encourage girls to dress up MISMATCHED and ready to get a little wet and made a little dirty. R20 for civvies and they will be able to take part in the Dance Party, Team Relay Activities and Water Gun. Please see the order form which accompanies our printed newsletter sent home today.
