The Hostel at Victoria Primary School is a home away from home for both weekly and termly boarders from both near and far. We accommodate girls from Grade 1 to 7 in attractive surroundings in the buildings of the old convent.
The beautiful dining hall was once a chapel, complete with stained glass windows and church pews for chairs.
Junior girls from Grades 1 to 5 sleep in dormitories, where each girl has her own cubicle, cupboards, a bed and a desk.
The Grade 6 and 7 girls are fortunate enough to have their own rooms with their own basin.
The Hostel Hub is an activity room where the boarders enjoy crafts, snooker, games and movies.
The Link room is a quiet space for our Grade 7’s to read and relax..
Three Matrons and six Duty Teachers are responsible for the daily care of our boarders overseen by two Hostel coordinators.
We provide supervised homework sessions in the afternoons for Grades 1 – 4 and in the evenings for Grades 4 – 7.
On weekends, the girls who remain in the hostel are entertained with a variety of activities, including ball games, fashion shows, talent contests, hikes, Park runs and swimming.
