Message from the office

I can’t believe Monday is the first day of September and Spring Day! I am glad to see the end of winter but can’t believe how quickly the weeks and months have gone by this year.

I love spring as it comes with a renewed sense of joy and excitement, and days filled with brightness and warmth! I look forward to our school being filled with our beautiful girls covered in colour and blossoms on Monday! Happy spring to all our VP families!

Well done to Zintle Magongo in Grade 7 for her excellent article on Sustainable Energy of NS. Keep up the good work, Zintle.

Interschool Best Speakers & General Knowledge

Last night Graeme College hosted VP for our annual inter-schools Best Speaker and General Knowledge competition. The evening was filled with excellent orators, interesting perspectives on their topics, and an incredibly close and exciting General Knowledge session! Well done to our Best Speakers who took part, and a special congratulations to Luhle Songongo who tied for First Place in Grade 4, to Bridget Akpeng for First Place in Grade 6, and Mila McConnachie for First Place in Grade 7!

A big congratulations also goes to our General Knowledge team:  Aliyah Bezuidenhout, Mila Nongubo, Uzosule Kanana, and Iviwe Jakavula, who won the evening by one point allowing us to bring the General Knowledge trophy back home!

Well done again to all involved, and thank you to our parents for your continued support and encouragement!
