Message from the office

Today we celebrated our 76th Founders’ Day and we were delighted to have Sisipho Macingwane as our guest Speaker. Sisipho came to VP in Grade 4 in 2008, went to VGHS and is now a Quantity Surveyor in Pretoria. She is currently pursuing her masters in Project Management. She is also a talented sportswoman having trained with Caster Semenye doing 100 and 200 m sprints and long jump. I also remember her as a very talented hockey player. We are always so delighted to see our girls doing so well and it was especially wonderful to not only see her thrive professionally but to note her kind and giving heart which was something I remember fondly when she was in Grade 4. Thank you, Sisipho, for joining us today as our special guest. We also thank all our families and friends who joined us for our assembly.

We are very proud to introduce our new branding for Victoria Primary School which was used for our Founders’ Day Assembly programme for the first time and you are able to view it on our newsletter. We decided it is time for a new fresh look and we are super excited about our new website which is in the process of being developed. Watch this space!

Well done to our POW this week; to Chloe Jeggels for Perseverance and Shameega Kholisa for Compassion and Thoughtfulness. We are proud of you both.

Our VP tennis teams played against Port Alfred on Thursday, 26 February.  They had an exciting afternoon of competitive tennis. The Senior First Team delivered a great performance, convincingly winning 47–16 games. Their focus, teamwork, and consistency on court were outstanding. The junior team also rose to the occasion, securing a well-earned 35–30 game victory in a closely contested match. It was a fantastic day filled with great sportsmanship, determination, and team spirit. Congratulations to all our players, we are incredibly proud of you!
