Message from the office

Although I may be pre-empting my thanks for the Alice in Wonderland that, while I am writing this, has yet to be performed, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated teachers and girls (and their families) who have not had one Saturday off this term – preparing for this show. I am forever in awe of the commitment and lengths our staff go to, to give our girls the opportunity to be involved in something quite magical. I know that they are all exhausted, cast and staff alike, but I am certain that the ‘high’ and pride that they will get from next week’s shows will make it all worth it.

I encourage you to buy a ticket to see the show, even if your daughter is not in the production, as it will no doubt be an incredible night out with your family. The tickets are selling quickly, to avoid disappointment, don’t delay in purchasing one!

Alice Tuckshop

Our newly established VPV is also enthusiastically preparing an exciting tuckshop for the productions.  To reduce costs, we are asking for donations of the following items.

flour; eggs; baking powder; boxes of ground cinnamon; loaves of bread; Apricot jam; Brown paper bags for popcorn; Oil; White vinegar; Sugar; Salt; Popcorn Kernels.

These can be dropped off at the school office.

The VPV will be selling snack platters each night that can be pre- ordered at R35 each and consist of the following:

X2 cocktail pies; X1 vetkoek; X1 pancake; X1 cheese griller; X2 triangle sandwiches with jam and cheese

Your daughter will receive an order form for you to complete and return to school by Monday, 23 March if you would like to order platters.
